UPD
So, dear users, our survey is over.
As we can see, according to the results, there is an almost equal number of supporters of different quality.
After much think about it I decided this season to continue to make all games in a lighter quality, but the top games (Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night and some others) as well as the entire playoffs will also be in high quality.
Next season I plan to make games in two formats, with high quality matches being available first. If I do this, then it will be necessary to raise the size of the donation by 1-2 USDsince I will need to install additional disk drives and increase system memory.
I will not close this topic and would like to continue to hear your opinion

Considering the questions from users about the quality of broadcasts, I decided to make a survey about the quality of the video games provided.
What does this mean?
Now I am making games with the following video parameters:
29.97 fps, 3500 Kbps, 1280х720. The size of a 2-hour video is about 3 GB
It is possible to make games with the following video parameters:
29.97 fps, 4750 Kbps, 1600х900. The size of a 2-hour video is about 4.2 GB
If a decision based on the voting results shows that you prefer this season in a new, better quality, from the next season the subscription price will increase (by $ 1-2).
This survey is available for subscribers only

Price change doesnt matter to me considering I get the whole season for this price. Wont find anywhere else cheaper. Better quality is always a plus.
Size wont matter either, 1 gig extra to download opposed to already having to download 3 gig? Wont make a difference either. Considering most torrent clients will let you watch while downloading.

it´s only 1 GB more and 2021 the Filesize should not be a problem with these Internet Speeds, so I would prefer the better quality and 4.2 GB and I would already pay 1-2 more THIS year if needed :playboy:

If it's one or the other I'd stick with 3 Gb filesize.

I'd raher pay 5$ more to be able to choose the quality/file size

at the moment im trying to download preseason week 2 in 60.mkv and preseason week3 in 60.mkv i can only connect to 1 seed out of 5, and the speed on both torrents is down to 5 kbps. this is unusable at any file size.

Then that'll probably be a torrent client issue if you cant connect to all seeds or the other seeds not allowing downloading. Not the admin's fault.

Keep it as it is. 3GB. Or maybe on Week 1 do some games with the 4.5GB quality to make the comparison and repeat the poll.

On Tv 720p is not enough.

I prefer to keep it at the current 3 GB quality. IMO that's already excellent, and most human eyes could not tell the difference if the resolution were upgraded.

I originally posed this request to the admin and I'm glad it's being considered.

It's 2021 and 720p just isn't great anymore.
Consider content you consume on tv/netflix/youtube are all AT LEAST 1080p these days. You probably don't even notice it but enjoy the clarity you get.
On top of that, playing 720p through even an average size 1080p tv or even worse a 4k tv, you'll really notice the difference and it'll look like a pixelated mess. These days the average tv size is nearing 50 Inches. Playing 720p through 50 inches is vomit because the pixels have to stretch further to make up the screen size.
I'm not sure why 'Trajan' thinks "most human eyes couldnt tell the difference in resolution". This is simply not true. Maybe to people over 40 who are in the dark about how resolutions work, but anyone born in the last 30 years realises there's a difference between resolution quality....

Now talking about the file size. Its an extra 1.2GB on top of your download, literally nothing. Again Its 2021 and according to 'speedtest.net' the global average download is 107Mbps or 13 MB/s.
With that speed you literally download a 4.2GB file in 5.2 Mins which is an extra 1.5 mins than downloading a 3gb file a the same speeds. This is peanuts people and the the trade off is you get way better quality and viewing experience.
I for one, would gladly pay the $2 extra for such an improvement.

I get that some people have data caps and if you're downloading every game every week this can add up but this is necessary imo.
People don't like change and its obviously from the comment section. However, this is such a trivial adjustment most people won't even know they'll enjoy unless you find out.
I suggest you go watch a 720p video on youtube on the screen you watch these games on and then go watch a 900p video. You'll notice the difference instantly.

My two cents. Thanks to the admin and all who support these games going forward and I hope to lord these changes get implemented in the next season! GO pack <3

Please keep files as small as possible as l keep games to watch again in years to come and storage gets costly.

Thanks

We need more people to vote for better quality, I can't believe people in here really scream about a 1 GB size differential, it's 2021, that the NFL is not offering this in 4K yet is ridiculous.

It was ok last year and I would prefer the same quality.
I download and keep every game to watch when I can so i can save lots of storage.

But I am ok with better quality for let's say SNF or MNF games and top showtime games.

For all those saying it's 2021 and assume that everyone has a fast internet, it's not the case.
I can only dream of downloading any game in 5 minutes. 2 GB takes usually at least 1 hour and close to 2 or 3 hours for 3 gb and more and i'm not in a desert, i'm in France.
I watch the games on my laptop so i can understand that those watching on tv and with a fast internet wants better quality but not everyone has that, 2021 or not.

I'm on board for the best possible quality. Many people now have high definition tv's so the small increase in cost for better quality is my choice.
