So, dear users, our survey is over.
As we can see, according to the results, there is an almost equal number of supporters of different quality.
After much think about it I decided this season to continue to make all games in a lighter quality, but the top games (Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night and some others) as well as the entire playoffs will also be in high quality.
Next season I plan to make games in two formats, with high quality matches being available first. If I do this, then it will be necessary to raise the size of the donation by 1-2 USDsince I will need to install additional disk drives and increase system memory.
I will not close this topic and would like to continue to hear your opinion

What would you and other users think about using the x265 video codec. This would result in much smaller files. But I have to admit, that I don't have any experience with x265 and sports coverage.

just my 2 cents

The prime time games and playoffs are a great idea for this season, much appreciated. And the price increase is justifiable. Cheers mate!

Very true, I also don't have experience with it at fast paced movement sequences so it might lose quality and become grainy but I wonder if the admin has tried?

I very much appreciate the idea to have 2 qualities to choose from, but I have a question about it.
I use mega to DL and not torrent and until now I see there are 2 links for torrent but only the lighter one for mega.
Will this change in the future?

at least a high quality version will be added first
Do I need to add these games (HQ) to mega now?

I'd appreciate it starting from the next week, if possible.

Perfect solution! :yahoo: I look forward to the high res games. Will there be a similar option when the NBA season starts?

I can't even tell the difference (Samsung 50in 4K) but I think that's more of my 57 year old eyes. ;)

What about h265 for encoding? I have been re encoding some of my videos and the size savings is nice.

A few dollars more is fine for next year. ;) maybe by then the hard drive prices will drop a little more.

Sorry for showing up so lat at the party, noticed this poll only now.

My 2 cents:

I'd rather pay 2-3$ more and have the highest resolution possible, size is not an issue. Haven't seen anyone mention it, but for me 1080p would be ideal.

Seems like who prefers quality doesn't have bandwidth/hd problems, so any chance the next season can be one 720p and the other a 1080p file?

+1 for this all the way. Like he said size isn't an issue for a lot of people only quality. Pleasing both sides of the crowd will be go down great it seems! 1080p ftw

I'm happy with the current picture quality. I don't keep the film long term so the current quality is OK.

1080 and 720 would be awesome! As for x265, I would have to upgrade both of my firesticks as the older sticks don't support x265. Space isn't an issue for me, so please no x265.
Thanks!
